16th SGBED International Conference 2019

Academic Conference Partnership

The 16th International Conference of the SGBED is organized in partnership with the 12th ESPM International Conference in Management and 14th ESPM International Symposium of Management and Marketing.

Nature and Scope of the Conference

Critics believe that the pursuit of globalization had ignored national and local priorities, and caused wealth and income inequalities, and damaged the environment. Most developed economies assume that globalization and multilateralism largely benefit emerging economies and propose measures to correct imbalances in trade agreements, production and cross-border trade, and control mobility of factors of production; whereas, the developing economies feel being challenged by the reversal of globalization as a limitation to their ability to maintain growth and development.  In view of the conflicts and uncertainties that prevail today, the 16th International Conference of the SGBED invites conceptual and empirical research papers, case studies and applications, and panel proposals on, but not limited to the following topics:

  • Looking Southwards: Multilateralism, Trade Agreements & Conflicts

Refund Policy

We understand that participants who have registered for the conference may have to cancel their registrations due to unforeseen circumstances. While we try to accommodate cancellations to the best of our ability, any cancellation, especially late ones, put SGBED 2019 in a difficult situation. We have to make many of our arrangements well in advance, and, therefore cancellations come at a cost to SGBED 2019. Consequently, the organizers have developed a cancellation and refund policy that takes into account the needs and preferences of the conference and the participants. As such, please note that cancellation requests for an already confirmed registration will be processed according to the following schedule:

  • Cancellation by the Registration Deadline for Presenters (April 22, 2019): a 25% cancellation fee will be withheld for an administrative fee;
  • Cancellation by May 10, 2019: 50% refund;
  • Cancellation after May 10, 2019: no refund.

Reimbursement will be processed after the conference.

Please, all cancellations must be notified by e-mail sgbed2019-sp@espm.br to the Conference organizer.
